Child Safety & Wellbeing
Nothing matters more to us than the safety, wellbeing and dignity of every child in our care. Child safety is embedded in everything we do at Cornubia Park — from how we design our environments to how we recruit, train and support our educators.
Our commitment
We are committed to being a child safe organisation. Every child has the right to feel safe, to be heard, and to be treated with respect. We take a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and harm of any kind.
How we keep children safe
- Rigorous recruitment, including Working with Children Checks (Blue Cards) for all educators and staff
- Ongoing training in child protection, supervision and mandatory reporting
- Clear policies and procedures for identifying, responding to and reporting concerns
- Safe, well-designed indoor and outdoor environments with active supervision
- A culture where children are encouraged to speak up and are listened to
- Respect for the diverse needs of every child, including cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and children with additional needs
