The Environment

We prefer “interesting” over “pretty” any day!  We understand learning happens in, with, around and because of the environment.

The children’s play spaces are a carefully designed blank canvas full of enticing natural resources.  Thought about, laid out and combined in ways that:-

  • Provide a home-like environment.
  • Promote and celebrate a child’s identity and reinforces their sense of belonging
  • Reflects the child’s interests, invites curiosity and engagement, every part of the children’s environment is available and accessible, fit for exploration and independent learning.
  • Meets the child’s social and emotional needs. A space for privacy, fantasy, stillness and togetherness.
  • Meets the child’s physical needs – we are designed for adventure, every child deserves the opportunity to explore and test themselves. “Nature is a wonderful teacher, just add curious minds and a bunch of passionate educators”
  • Provide diverse experiences and open ended activities that foster imagination, resourcefulness and creativity.

Our centre was designed to provide individualised play areas for each group.  Age appropriate, and challenging with abundant space to explore.  Every child deserves to be deeply engaged in play, learning alongside their peers or exploring solo we respect this is precious time.  We role play, we follow their lead, build on those big ideas, who knows how great this could be!
