Healthy eating begins in childhood and is the absolute foundation of lifelong health and wellbeing. We believe that children need to be inspired and encouraged to eat good food from a young age. Food has been connected very securely to behaviour and learning management. We therefore feel that if we can supply the children in our care with wonderful, tasty, nourishing food it can also have very positive outcomes with their growth and learning abilities.
Rebecca one of our owners, is also a passionate naturopath, nutritionist and foodie. She intricately programs the menu with the aim of providing wholesome, home cooked meals with optimal nutritional content, all made with love by onsite chefs.

Our wholesome predominantly plant-based menu will include a broad variety of foods from all groups, providing children’s daily macronutrient requirements. A plant-based menu provides more serves of vegetables per meal vs. predominantly animal-based meals. The Chief Health Officer Report by Queensland Health indicates that only 4% of children are eating enough vegetables and 70% eating enough fruit. This is a worrying statistic, and we are committed to providing children with vegetables in 2-4 meals per day and achieve 50-70% of their RDI.
Over the years, our evolving menu has provided children with 2-3 plant-based meals per week. Each meal served at the centre will be nutritious, substantial, have great taste and texture, are familiar to children and are thoroughly enjoyed. Educator’s and children’s feedback is constantly taken on board and meals that are not successful are quickly changed to ones that are. Educators are encouraged to eat with children whilst role modelling great eating habits.
We look forward to nourishing the minds and bodies of our wonderful children at Cornubia Park and sharing the journey with you!
