Our Story

Cornubia Park Early Learning is a family-owned childcare Centre that is managed by the son and daughter of Jenny Balson.

Our Village Beginning

Jenny Balson is the creator and visionary of numerous exceeding childcare centres. Jenny Balson has paved the way for many directors, educators, families and children to be a part of a caring, educational community. From a young age her vision was to create a safe space for all to flourish. As a result her dream has  been the catalyst for providing exceptional childcare centres around Queensland. Her journey started over 30 years ago back in central Gold Coast where she founded her first Centre, Benowa Early Learning. Since then, Jenny’s contagious vision has inspired her son, David Balson and her daughter, Rebecca tapper to follow in her footsteps to create Cornubia Park Early Learning, a place of opportunities, where dreams develop, and more importantly, are made into a reality.

Our Village Cultivators

David Balson is the father of Currumbin Pines Early Learning, he shares his mother’s inspirational beliefs in creating environments that are inviting to all families, children and staff. David and his wife Alison have ingrained that family and community are everything and together have provided a resourceful village for all children including their four young boys. Alison has a background in teaching and the couples pairing has delivered a childcare centre like no other.

Rebecca Tapper assumed responsibility for Benowa Early Learning Centre in 2010 her exceptional drive to provide children with an organic, healthy start to life has been the facilitator for expanding to three new Centres. Rebecca is consistently reforming and developing many areas of the childcare industry, she has a gift for seeing the gaps within the industry and designs new materials for the children. Rebecca’s background in naturopathy and nutrition has delivered:

  • Organic, Home cooked Menu’s that are adjusted monthly
  • Eco, Bamboo Nappy’s
  • Eco wipes
  • Childcare Centres created in a natural environment to support each child’s brain development. The wooden structures and leafy, bushy areas build on the neurons within a child’s brain – encouraging their development and education.

We want to give you a warm welcome and invite you to be part of our Cornubia Park Early Learning Village.
